HPMC for self leveling

Self leveling concrete vs concrete
The Difference Between Self-Leveling Concrete and Regular Concrete is water consumption. Regular concrete consumes a lot of water to maintain moisture and fluidity. Self-leveling concrete, on the other hand, doesn’t require that much water.
Self leveling concrete is a cement-based compound, like concrete. But different from concrete, it flows more accessible and faster. Only mix with water, then pour over onto the surface. It keeps flowing evenly and levels out. Depending on the product specifications, it takes about 2 hours to spread all over the floor. and within 6 hours it may be hardened thoroughly.

Fluidity is a significant indicator in evaluating self-levelling performance. Usually, we would change the content of HPMC to adjust the mortar fluidity. HPMC concentration is higher, the lesser fluidity. The lower the HPMC concentration, the more fluid the mortar is.
HPMC controls water retention capacity
Water retention determines mortar stability. The right amount of HPMC maintains enough moisture within the mortar for a long time. It prevents water evaporation and ensures sufficient water for cement hydration. The water retention level increases with the increase of HPMC content.
HPMC improve work efficiency
HPMC extends mortar setting time. HPMC influences water retention, consistency, and workability of the mortar. adding the right amount of HPMC has a certain retarding effect on mortar.
